1. VOLUNTEER to help with Iowa Derecho Storm Resource Center‘s Winter Wear Drive in Cedar Rapids from 12-3:30 pm. The signup genius is in the comments. #volunteer

2. REGISTER for one of Iowa State University‘s upcoming "Question. Pursuade. Refer" suicide prevention trainings. The next one is Tuesday, starting at noon. Our director took this and while it had a farming focus she wasn’t expecting, we think the information is valuable across settings. The registration link is in the comments. #suicideprevention

3. ADOPT A FAMILY for the holidays (provide food, necessity items, and gifts) through United Way of Johnson & Washington Counties by calling 319-338-7823, or emailing patti.fields@unitedwayjwc.org. #holidaygiving #adoptafamily

4. DONATE to help a family in our community cover bills and repair a vehicle while the dad is out of work due to a broken collar bone. They are also in need of children’s winter clothing in sizes 4 and 5. You can donate financially through the go fund me linked in the comments or message the page to help them with clothing. #communitysupport #ittakesavillage

5. PETITION the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office to complete a thorough investigation into the death of Makeda Scott. The petition is linked in the comments. #JusticeforMakeda

6. BUY some swag from Central Furniture Rescue through the link in the comments to support their work to make homes comfortable. #cozyhomes #support #SwagForACause

7. JOIN the Better Together Network led by the Iowa City Area Business Partnership, Iowa City Area Development Group, Think Iowa City, and the Iowa City Downtown District to provide input and other assistance in improving "economic diversity, growth, inclusivity, resilience, and well being for all."
